jHepWork is a full-featured data-analysis framework for scientists, engineers and students. jHepWork incorporates many open-source math software packages into a coherent interface using the concept of Java scripting, rather than only-GUI or macro-based concept: numerous classes for data and analytical-function visualisation are written in Java and integrated with the Jython scripting language. All numerical and graphical libraries written in Java are fully integrated with Jython. jHepWork comes with a Python/Jython shell and a friendly IDE with a code assist. jHepWork has a goal of creating a tool competitive to commercial scientific packages. The program can be used everywhere where an analysis of large numerical data volumes, data mining (sometimes called knowledge discovery, is the process of analyzing and summarizing data into useful information which can be used to understand common features, the origin of data and to extract hidden predictive information), statistical data analysis and mathematics are essential. The program can be used in natural sciences, engineering, modeling and analysis of financial markets. For more information about jHepWork click here. NOTE: The core source code of jHepWork (jhplot) is licensed by the GNU General Public License, but the entire project has some restrictions for commercial usage since language files, documentation files, examples, installer, code-assist databases, interactive help are licensed for a non-commercial usage (the creative-common license). |
