DSO-101 USB OscilloscopeDigital Storage Oscilloscope DSO-101, Waveform Generator WGM-101 and Circuit Gear CGR101 are software for instruments Syscomp ElectronicDSO101 (Digital Storage Oscilloscope), WGM101 and WGM201 (Waveform Generator) and CGR101 (Circuit Gear) are software for instruments Syscomp Electronic. The DSO-101 is an USB-powered digital storage oscilloscope with dual 20MS/s inputs and a 2MHz bandwidth; it packs some powerful features including a hardware preamp, adjustable digital triggering, and 32kB memory depth on each of the two 8 bit input channels. The DSO-101 is powered by an open-source graphical user interface for GNU/Linux. The fully functional, easy to use software supports multiple triggering modes, waveform scrolling, saving waveforms to a file, and cursor measurements. Source code is included. The user can add and modify the graphic user interface as desired. WGM-101 USB Waveform GeneratorThe WGM-101 is an USB-powered waveform generator. This device generates all standard test waveforms (Sine, Square, Triangle, Sawtooth) as well as arbitrary waveforms created by the user. Precise digital frequency control allows adjustment of the output frequency from 0.1Hz to 100kHz with a resolution of 0.1Hz. The open source graphical user interface (WGM101) allows the user to download custom waveforms into the device for non-volatile storage, sweep the frequency over a particular frequency range with a point-and-click interface, and directly control the output amplitude and offset. Circuit Gear is an oscilloscope, waveform generator, and digital I/O port integrated into one small, low cost unit. Here is some features;
  • 20MS/s dual channel, 10-bit oscilloscope;
  • 2 MHz DDS arbitrary waveform generator;
  • Eight channel digital I/O;
  • USB powered, no AC adaptor required;
  • Open source software for GNU/Linux (and others SOs).
The current releases of software provide basic features for the instruments, but there are many that could be added. For example, the oscilloscope would benefit from 'waveform math' commands. The waveform generator could be configured as an audio sweep generator and so on.
