Gxsm - Scanning microscopy project E-mail

Gxsm is a complete interface for the acquisition and analysis of two dimensional (2D) or three dimensional (3D, multilayered 2D mode) dataGxsm is a free software (under license GNU GPL) and is a complete interface for the acquisition and analysis of two dimensional (2D) or three dimensional (3D, multilayered 2D mode) data. It is a multi-channel image and vector-probe data acquisition and visualisation system primarily designed for surface analysis techniques as scanning probe microscopy, aka SPM (STM/AFM...) and spot profile analysis low energy electron diffraction (SPA-LEED), SARLS and even more (CCD) but not limited to them. The plug-in interface allows easy customization for extra math and specific hardware and instrument support; it can interface to a variety of commercial and open hardware for data acquisition (e.g. Signal Ranger card DSP/FPGA based with the tool/utility Srange). It can also be used in stand-alone mode for the visualisation and analysis of data. The GXSM core can handle different data types, e.g., integer and floating point numbers. An easily extendable plug-in architecture provides many image analysis and manipulation functions. A digital signal processor subsystem runs the feedback loop, generates the scanning signals, and acquires the data during SPM measurements. In addition it performs sophisticated spectroscopy tasks such as scanning tunneling spectroscopy. For more information about Gxsm click here.
