Kst the fastest real-time large-dataset viewing and plotting tools for examining data streamsKst is a data plotting and analysis program; it's the fastest real-time large-dataset viewing and plotting tools for examining data streams which can plot x-y plots, power spectra, histograms and equations (including equations of data streams). It can also be used to examine data in files which are being updated as data is being logged, in which case it can act as a plotter for a chart recorder. kst also contains a command line interface for rapid analysis of large amounts of data, many powerful built-in features and it's expandable with plugins and extensions. Some features are;

  • Fast real-time display and manipulation of streaming data;
  • Extensible via plugins;
  • Built-in high-speed equation interpreter;
  • Multiple tabs or windows;
  • Javascript scripting;
  • Native power spectrum algorithm and histograms;
  • Support for the most popular data formats including ASCII, dirfile, CDF, netCDF, piolib, FITS and so on;
  • Printing, including to images, postscript, and PDF;
  • ...and many, many others!

Kst is a KDE application and is freely available for anyone to download and use. For more information click here
