PICsim - PIC microcontroller simulator E-mail
Sunday, 26 December 2010 21:49

PICsim is a tiny, easy to use tool designed to emulate a microcontroller PIC16F628/16F877A and periferics such as USART, EEPROM, WDT, IO PORTS and timers (TMR0, TMR1 and TMR2). The simulator architecture permit easy implementation of external elements in C language.IC PIC16F628 a low voltage programming, low speed Clock mode, Programmable BOR, 4MHz internal RC oscillator, on-chip voltage reference, 128 bytes of EEPROM Data Memory.PICsim is a tiny, easy to use tool designed to emulate a microcontroller PIC16F628/- PIC16F877A and PIC18F452 also periferics such as USART, EEPROM, WDT, IO PORTS and timers (TMR0, TMR1 and TMR2). The simulator architecture permit easy implementation of external elements in C language. In short PICSim consists of some components:

  • picsim: a command line simulator;
  • wxpicsim: a graphic user interface using wxwidgets;
  • picsimlab: a realtime emulator of development boards.
The Small Device C Compiler (SDCC) for compile examples, the GNU PIC Utilities (Gputils) for assemble examples and IDE Piklab for edit example can be used as a complement with PICsim.
